Candid Video † Wake up call
Jan. 17th, 2011 08:45 pm[The video cuts on to Sebastian retracting his gloved hands, smiling slyly at the screen. As he steps back, the viewer can see the earl, Ciel Phantomhive, is asleep in a chair, one small hand cradling his chin, lips parted with even breathing.
[The rub is, Sebastian has been charged with keeping his master awake, so this simply cannot continue. Very serious about his work, Sebastian turned to his young master and cleared his throat, attempting to subtly rouse him.
[Nothing.]
Young master.
[No apparent response. Sebastian, not to be deterred, glanced sidelong back at the Dreamberry screen, retaining the little smile. He stooped to retrieve an empty cup and saucer from the waiting tea service. Pausing a moment, he quietly approached the sleeping boy, bringing the cup down against the other piece of china with a very loud clang]
[Ciel started awake, jerking upright in the chair, sputtering nonsense. He looked around as if someone had fired a shot at him. Sebastian's expression sobered. He stood there casually with the tea things still in hand]
It's time for tea.
[He pointed out, giving into a smile. Then he leaned in and confided] You were asleep.
[Ciel tried to recover with dignity, sitting up straight and pulling himself together before replying] You must have been awfully slow if I was able to fall asleep in that time.
[Sebastian bowed, a humble butler] My apologies. [But he doesn't exactly look contrite. And he adds] Your chin, my lord. [He tactfully pointed out, referring to the drying saliva]
[Ciel flailed slightly, his single eye widening. Sebastian helpfully offered his young master a handkerchief, which was impatiently snatched and used to wipe at his chin]
