Video † Regrets

[Sebastian appeared on the screen of the Dreamberry, illuminated by the light of a candle. He is standing outside a door in the hallway of the Phantomhive mansion. He bows solemnly in greeting, as much as he can while supporting the phone]

Good evening.

I'm afraid I must send my regrets, on behalf of my young Master. I know he has a number of outstanding engagements at present. Unfortunately, he shall not be able to attend.

Please accept my humble apologies. You may direct any responses or inquiries through me.

I will be sure to relay them to my Master. [Chuckle]

I bid you a good evening.

And why do you think you're unworthy of a polite greeting?

Isn't bowing excessively polite? I've always thought of bowing as something one did to royalty, and I'm pretty glad I'm not that.

Oh, no. Bowing is fairly commonplace. It's simple respect towards any guest, and quite natural according to Phantomhive hospitality.

Oh... well, I'm not used to it, but-- thanks.

[and she attempts a bow in return, only much more awkward-looking, but she tried.]

You are not familiar with my Lord then, madame?

That's unfortunate.

But then, he doesn't go out often.

Should I know him? What's he like?

Would you like to come to tea, when he is well?
